Food Security.
I heard on the news last night that lately, more and more grocery stores and food stalls are being broken into and robbed. It truly is a sign of the times – the economy is bad, many people are out of jobs and families go hungry. Desperate times require desperate measures, as they say.
Security Cameras are being installed in most food establishments and while it is an added security measure for food owners and its employees, I doubt it will actually lessen the attempts and crime rate. If at all, it will just help the police get a lead and eventually capture the criminals.
You actually feel the desperation of the people because they don’t go for the big guns. They steal food so they will not get hungry. It is sad when you think about it.
Most security cameras nowadays use CCD-TV cameras, ranging from black and white to color cameras, night vision cameras and dome cameras. The whole security system is actually a bit complicated as these cameras need to be wired to a central viewing system for monitoring.
We once had a security monitoring system installed in the place where my parents are staying when there was an international convention and there were going to be 500 people staying in.
