• Monotone outfits in rich fall colors can be just as effective as wearing all black to create a slimming look.
• Try shopping online to find more options for fuller-figured women.
• Invest in proper undergarments and body shapers, if you feel necessary.
• Pair any outfit with a thin high-heeled shoe.
• Wear clothes with a little bit of stretch.
• Choose wide-leg pants with a long hem that cover all but the front of your shoe.

I have already mentioned some of the things Im expecting from the shipping boxes we (Dzoi, Alpha, Litzie and me) filled together from Glo. I think I was the second one who had the most purchases (not necessarily the most expensive though). If I had my way and money, I could have easily filled one big box from clothes alone but things need to be prioritized this year.

I hope we can get the box two weeks before Christmas. I have a couple of scrapbook items I will let Glo send over too as soon as I make up my mind what else to buy – I need to maximize the shipping fees

Flat feet. Wide feet.

Combine the two phrases and you have just perfectly described my feet. For the record, I have been a size 8 when I was 9 years old, 9 when I was 15 and a tie up between 9.5 and a 10 when I was 16 and up before pregnancy. Now Im an 11 and have wide feet. Im always on a lookout for the perfect comfy shoes. I barely wear heels nowadays unless it’s wedged. I’m tall AND big. If I wear heels Im not going to look like a model, Ill look like Godzilla.

So, let me hear it, Crocs, Clark’s, Naturalizer, Dansko shoes, what is the ultimate comfy shoes? (that carry my size of course!)

  Sorry for bailing out on you guys this week. Things have been insanely busy that I havent got time to update here (even on all my other blogs). My mom had me do something for her that involved a lot of time in Photoshop and now my eyes hurt from all the strain. I’m also tagging along with an aunt who wants new frames for her glasses. She has such an eclectic taste when it comes to these so it’s hard shopping for her (not to mention she is also tight with money!) Zenni on Fox higlighted the Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni that has prices as low as $8.99. Can you believe that price? Zenni Optical has such a great tagline for their company -Great Eyeglasses For Less. Zenni Optical was on FOX news!  That’s how I found out about it! I will be recommending these to my aunt. I hope by the end of the week, our hunt for new frames is over!

Leggings are all the rage right now, I’ve noticed. While I am all for leggings for Martha, I wasnt all for it for myself. That was before. Now, I’m sold on it. I love my first (and only, for now) pair. I got what you see on the left and it is perfect for my blouses which are loose but still give me enough “imaginary” shape. Thank God for my nice shoulders. That’s the only nice thing I can think about my body for now. Anyhow, I plan to keep everything in black for now as well. Of course I have the right to change my mind anytime. With Christmas season coming, this will allow me to be flexible with my clothes  ~ cant wait!

When I was a kid, all I ever dreamed about of becoming when I grow older was to either be a doctor or a teacher. I didnt even think of becoming a wife and mommy, even when I was dating my now husband. Now, all I can think about it becoming a mommy all the time. A full-time stay at home mom. I know there are beauty schools in arizona I can probably benefit from because salons and spas are like mushrooms sprouting everywhere. Founded more than 50 years ago in Minneapolis, Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the country. Regency has expanded from two Minnesota schools in 2002 to almost 30 campuses across nine states, with continued growth underway for next year.

It’s been a long time since I read fashion magazines. Id rather browse some nice stuff online. I noticed fashion jewelry is making a comeback. It is all about the accessories now. Many celebrities use plain shirts with lots of necklaces and stacks of bracelets. It’s actually cute. Minimalist with a little punch. I am a classical dresser myself (read: SAFE) but this style I think I can manage to pull off.

You will usually see me in jeans, sandals and a shirt. If you get lucky, I can be in a blouse. Unlike my sister who is a real fashion superstar. She sees the endless possibilities in clothes and layers them up. Her basic clothing is a tank top - and everything goes from there.

I have always been.

My mother used all Johnson’s baby products on her four kids and honestly, up to now, I still use their powder and cologne. I love their Sleep Care line - the lavender lotion and powder. Their consumer products are very gentle on my skin - I have sensitive skin, one that breaks out, reddens and tightens almost easily when exposed to harsh chemicals so J&J baby products are perfect for me.

Naturally, when I had my own kids, I used the same products too. I just automatically associate the J&J smell with newborn babies and clean kids Matthew is very very used to J&J products, if he uses another cologne, I feel it’s not him anymore.

Martha’s skin chemistry is not really compatible with J&J bath products. Since it is mild and Martha needs strong antibacterial shampoo and soap to control her odor and sweat, I switched brands. I still use the powder and cologne on her though.

I love J&J.
I cant imagine my life without it.

My husband needs new clothes. Jeans and shirts wont work for him anymore because 1) He meets up and dines with doctors everyday as part of his job and 2) He has been steadily gaining weight over the past months. We cannot try to look fashionably young forever — sometimes, we can be classified as “trying too hard”. So I was looking for men clothing, specifically corporate clothing for men.

I think he would look so nice in a business casual attire. Here are some salient points I need to tell him (smart dressing tips):

Style demands:

* No denim.

* Shirts must have collars.
* Loafers are acceptable–skip the sandals and flip flops.
* A tie is not necessary.
* A sportcoat or blazer is a nice touch (especially for managers).
* Shirts should be tucked into pants.

Of course, shoes must also be chosen carefully. Having Gucci Authentic Mens Shoes Strap Loafers would bring such a strong statement in his clothing. Im going to send him the link to Career Dressing for Men, along with a clothing size chart, so he will know what to buy next time

Biore Pore Strips for nose blackheads? I havent had the chance to get any facials done for the last eight months (Uhmm, since 2008 started) and my nose is rough because of those clogged pores. My cousins from the US use them all the time and claim it works - they just have to put a hot towel over the nose for about 5-10 minutes to open up the pores before applying the strips. I get such a kick seeing so many blackheads on a strip after peeling (It may sound gross but Im really fascinated by it). Aside from blackheads, I need to have warts cauterized. We all have warts - some of are just too small to get noticed (like mine) — I want to get rid of them soon.
