Motorcycle batteries come in many shapes and sizes. Their power capacities are as many as the number of motorcycles on the roads. Each machine’s demands vary so much from that of the others that motorcycle manufacturers opt to have batteries from the makers themselves – the battery store.
While motorcycles are generally low-maintenance and so are motorcycle batteries, there are a number of things that you should do and check out for when maintaining it:

• The terminals of a motorcycle battery should be properly cleaned in order to avoid unnecessary corrosion.

• The inside of the batteries should be closely verified for the formation of unwarranted sedimentation, sulfation and mossing.

• You also need to replace the caps well.

• Every month you should make an attempt to change the battery for better effect in the performance.

• The top of the motorcycle batteries should remain dry and clean. You should not allow dirt to settle.

• You should check with the relevance and accuracy of the electrolyte level. In case of the conventional motorcycle battery you need to judge the level of acid.

• Try to keep the exhaust tube free from clogs, cables and other dirt types.

• You should also not allow the discharged battery stay anywhere in the garage. This will help the battery stay damage free.

• Even if you do not use the motorcycle for long keep on charging the battery. This will help the motorcycle stay in a sound condition.
