The Influenza A H1N1 virus was declared pandemic by the WHO (World Health Organization) just a few months when it hit the key city of the Philippines, Manila, and quadrupled numbers in just a few days. Within the key city alone, infected people rose to about 16,000 over a weekend and school started shutting down and suspending classes left and right for two weeks. It didn’t help that typhoon season was upon the country, where typical influenza, colds and cough, get rampant. It was also the start of school for students. You can imagine how paranoid parents were.

Fortunately, there haven’t been reported deaths except for two who died of complications. Whatever caused the virus to spread, the outcome was better. Establishments and institutions have taken extra care to practice good hygiene. Lobby Signs which were just used to have some sort of order in queue lines now have hand sanitizers.

Frequent and correct hand washing has been the top prevention control of doctors against the spread of the virus. But what will you do if there would be no available water?
