Announcements Pregnancy Cards are usually sent in before a baby shower party is planned. Since shower parties are usually hosted by a close friend or relative of the parents, the pregnancy announcement cards are subtle way of announcing the gender of the baby, or if the couple decided to wait, it is their way of telling people that a new baby is on the way!
This one is a perfect example of it. That pretty tummy almost makes me want to go for Baby # 3. But the keyword here is ALMOST 
Actually baby announcements are a new trend, thanks to first-time parents being excited to share the news. Usually, they send out the card together with the estimated due date of their baby as well.
