You can actually hear my daughter say that a couple of times throughout the day. It actually is a Spanish word for the term “OPEN”.
And no, she did not learn it from me. She learned it from Dora, from the series Dora the Explorer. My daughter is obsessed with the series that it can keep her preoccupied for hours. In fact, she first learned how to count in Spanish correctly than in English and even in our native tongue. There are toddler Spanish DVDs that *I* would like to take so I can keep up with her it is really pretty funny!
Aside from Dora, a boy has captured her attention and heart – Diego, Dora’s cousin, who loves her first love – animals. A perfect combination if you ask me! It keeps her quiet so I can work during the mornings.
