Dental Care
I think I have mentioned it every now and then when I blog, the past four weeks I had to endure the worst pain I have ever experienced in my entire life – dental pain. Given that I have given birth normally twice, saying that means a lot. I was popping painkillers like candy. It turns out my wisdom teeth were infected and before the dentist can pull it out, I needed to be in antibiotics. It didn’t help that they grew sideways into my mouth. The roots were really close to the bone that the dentist had a hard time pulling it out. Even after seven days of strong antibiotics, the other wisdom tooth didn’t lose its infection. When it was pulled out, there was still a huge dot-sized clump of pus in my gum – too much information I know
.
But the good news is I’ve been pain free since February 28th! The worst is over. I just need to go back to have the temporary filling on my upper molar replaced with permanent filling – here is hoping I won’t need a root canal for it because if it acts up again, the only option would be a root canal or a tooth extraction. I’m not up for extraction yet since I don’t want to lose more teeth. Teeth Whitening has also been discussed but my dentist said I don’t need it – my teeth are not stained and they are in good condition.
