Un-Locked
I made a terrifying discovery today that made me so ticked off at our cleaning lady. See, there are two doors leading into our house, the main door, and a door to the dirty kitchen/laundry area where it leads to a back door to our living room. Our house is very small so it is very easy to navigate around. The door to the dirty kitchen and bathroom never gets locked – so when we go out, we only lock our main door as we always have the door to the dirty kitchen locked.
So we went to the mall today and when we went home, I went into the kitchen to prepare dinner. Imagine my surprise to see that the lock to the door of the kitchen was on the table! We could have been robbed! Worse, she has done this a lot of times I just don’t reprimand her for it. She doesn’t understand the gravity of her accidental mistakes and forgetfulness. People can come in and steal everything from us!
If we had fingerprint lock options for doors, it would be easier. We rarely entertain visitors and I sometimes forget our keys (the husband was not happy about it of course). Having one would be easier but I wonder if it is foolproof?
