Yellow Cab’s New York’s Finest
This was Matthew’s “cake” on his 8th birthday as his Dad “conveniently forgot” to buy the chocolate cake I told him to. It was OK too, since my Dad bought two gallons of Selecta’s Quezo Real and Very Rocky Road *insert big grin here*.
It was also my first time to do everything by myself. From the defrosting, chopping, cooking, and even washing the dishes – so even if I only cooked fried chicken and spaghetti (with three trips to a store around two LOOOONG blocks away from us), I was so dead tired.
Add to that is the fact I almost let them die of food poisoning because of the expired Del Monte Tomato sauce! LOL. I knew something was wrong when I smelled wine when I opened it – it turns out if a pack of tomato sauce is bloated – it’s expired. Lesson learned. To think it was bought just the day before from the SM grocery – if we were in the US, I can sue them! Hahaha!
All in all, it was a good day. My son was happy. We were happy.

Sayang nuh? Yung Del Monte, I mean. Yayaman ka dahil sa panis na tomato sauce pero sa Pinas? Nyak. Hehehe…
Happy to hear you had so much fun… Sugar overload ba? New York’s Finest is so delish nuh? Hay, I love Yellow Cab!

[...] On the day of his birthday, I cooked a simple meal for us and my parents and sisters who went to the house. You can read more about it on my other blog. [...]
Actually, even if your in the Philippines you can still sue. Just go the nearest DTI provincial office to lodge your complaint. You could get a replacement or your money back, at your option.
