It’s all in the Hair.

I thought my long hair (I used to have it around 6 inches down to my back) was the cause of my hair loss – there were so many strands falling everyday (and Im not exaggerating here). However, my hair is shorter and the hair loss is still the same – so it’s definitely not the weight of my hair.

And even if my hair really is “virgin” = no styling products nor coloring = I noticed it tends to be on the dry side (and I checked and our water supply doesnt have too much minerals on it). So Im wondering if Im destined to have thinning hair like my mom. (She is so conscious of her hair, if cost of hair transplants were not that ridiculously expensive, Im sure she would have had one).

And then I researched and I found out it all boils down to good nutrition and diet!

A diet, rich in silica, calcium and iron, will help reduce or prevent hair loss. Green leafy veggies too!

Here is what I saw in a website:

For women, thinning hair or hair loss can be a sign of a problem in the gastrointestinal tract. It could be a sign of insufficient stomach acids; It could also mean a deficiency of protein, zinc and other nutrients!
